Columbus Crew sign Chilean international midfielder Milovan Mirosevic

The Columbus Crew have signed Chilean midfielder Milovan Mirosevic to a multi-year contract, pending receipt of his P-1 work visa. Per league policy, no further terms of the deal were disclosed.cheap jersey

Mirosevic, 31, joins from Universidad Católica of the Chilean first division, where he served as captain and scored 46 goals in 108 games over the last three seasons.

“Milo brings a lot of quality and experience,” said Crew head coach Robert Warzycha. “He has represented his country, captained his club, been a top scorer in the Chilean league and played in important matches. He is a good passer, very technical, has good speed and can shoot from distance. We are very happy to be able to incorporate him into our attack.”

Internationally, Mirosevic is a part of the current Chile set-up, having recently been capped in World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay (4-0 loss on Nov. 11) and Paraguay (2-0 win on Nov. 15). He has been capped 25 times overall.

In addition to two stints with Universidad Católica, Mirosevic has played at Racing Club of Argentina, Beitar Jerusalem of Israel, and Argentinos Juniors of Argentina.
